THE FACTS: An air force strike in Syria in the small town of KHAN SHEIKHOUN has caused the death of at least 74 — including 16 women and 23 children — and wounded over 350. The town is “under the control” of various factions of rebels.

RUSSIANS' VERSION: THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE WAS BOMBING A REBEL AMMUNITION DEPOT EAST OF THE TOWN OF KAN SHEIKHOUN.

The depot was used to produce shells containing toxic gas. The same CW were used by the rebels in Aleppo and handed over to OPCW for investigation.

Note: This "very high degree of confidence" that sarin gas was used, very shortly after, was implicitly admitted as wrong, when it was clear from the pictures of the rescuers that no sarin gas could have been used, less they would have needed special equipment to treat the victims. Instead, they were operating bare foot and bare hands, as shown by their own pictures (see above).

QUESTION: WHERE IS THE LOGIC OF BOMBING CIVILIANS WITH CHEMICAL WEAPONS TO DEFEND A RUSSIAN AIRPORT LOCATED 25 MILES AWAY ?

CONCLUSION: No sarin gas, and the geographic and local facts show that the "very high degree of confidence" declaration is purely political lipwork.
